Minimum Password Requirements

Your password(s) should always meet the below listed minimum requirements to be considered complex, and to ensure the safety of your account(s) and data.

  • Minimum of 8 and no more than 20 characters
  • At least 1 capital letter
  • At least 1 lowercase letter
  • At least 1 number
  • At least 1 symbol    (!@#$%^&*<>?:")
  • And should never contain your user name or name in any way

Don't use the same password for multiple accounts. If one account gets compromised, hackers might try using the same password on other sites where you have accounts. Avoid using personal information like your name, birthday, pet's name, or address in your password. Regularly change your passwords, especially for critical accounts like email and banking. Never share your passwords with anyone.

While complex passwords are important, they should also be memorable for you. Here are some techniques to create strong and memorable passwords:

  • Use a passphrase. This is a longer string of words that are easy to remember but difficult to guess for someone else.  For example, instead of "summer123", use "Ilovethesunshineatthebeach".
  • Use the first letter of each word in a sentence or phrase that is meaningful to you. For example, the sentence "My favorite food is pizza!" could become the password "Mfip!".

By following these tips, you can create strong passwords that will help keep your accounts safe.

As a company policy, we do not keep a record of individual customers' passwords this keeps your systems secure and maintains accountability. So, in most cases, we (PVE Inc. Staff) cannot give you your credentials. We can however reset your password or provide you with information on how you can reset your password. Additionally all admin passwords used for the programming and installation of electronic security devices remains the property of PVE Inc. and will not be given out. If the customer needs this changed we can provide this change as a billable service as per article 3 of our initial installation agreement. Cybersecurity is essential in today's digital world. Our increasing reliance on technology makes us vulnerable to cyberattacks that can disrupt operations, steal sensitive data, and cause financial harm. PVE Inc. takes cybersecurity very seriously not just because security is our business but because cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. Individuals, organizations, and governments all have a role to play in protecting our digital world. By working together, we can create a more secure online environment for everyone.

In today's digital age, cybersecurity is not an option, it's a necessity.
