Calendar Search – Locate an event from a specific date and time

1 Choose a camera view from the Resource Tree.

2. Click the Show Calendar icon button in the lower right corner of the screen. The Calendar will appear above Timeline. The dates displayed on the Timeline are highlighted in green.

3. Select a desired date in the Calendar. To select multiple dates, while holding down the Ctrl button, select the dates desired. Timeline Zoom will automatically change to reflect the selected date(s).

4. Select a desired hour above the Calendar. For multiple hours, hold the Ctrl button and select the hours desired. Timeline Zoom will automatically adjust to display the selected hour(s) only.



Smart Motion Search – Review large archive files quickly by selecting motion zones to automatically refine the search and highlight fragments containing motion.


1. Select the desired motion zone and DW Spectrum® will display all fragments that contain motion throughout the archive.

2. Open Motion Zone by clicking on the camera’s Quick Buttons’ Smart Search icon, located in the top right corner of the camera's video view.

3. Click and hold the left mouse button and drag to set a motion region. A shaded red box will appear indicating the search field. Release the mouse button when the desired region is defined.

4. Ctrl+click and drag to add additional motion regions.

5. To clear motion areas, right-click in red shaded motion and select Clear Motion Selection.

6. The red bars in the timeline are a recording period that contains motion.

7. Click into the specific red bar to play/view archived video.


Note: For faster search, use the Search tab by file type and descriptors, i.e. camera, date, etc., at the top left of the screen.
